Tailored for both beginners and those seeking to enhance their intimacy, this workshop is a shared journey into the realms of therapeutic touch and relaxation. Together, you and your partner will explore the art of safe and effective partner-assisted stretching techniques, unlocking a new dimension of physical connection and flexibility.

In this immersive experience, couples will delve into the fundamental techniques of Thai massage that form the foundation of this ancient practice. Communication skills take center stage as you and your partner learn to navigate the subtleties of touch, building trust and harmony throughout the workshop. Through simple yet profound relaxation sequences this workshop is designed to deepen your bond and create lasting memories. Join us for an intimate and enriching experience where you and your partner can relax, connect, and learn together in a supportive and welcoming environment.

In this 2-hour class you can learn simple, effective massage techniques that:

  • Don’t make your hands tired

  • Don’t require a table or massage oil

  • Can be done fully clothed 

  • Allow you to stretch your own body at the same time as your partner

Each person will each get a chance to practice a simple full body Thai Massage.

:: About The Workshop ::

Thai bodywork is a therapeutic healing art that has been passed down for many generations in SE Asia. It is best known for its beautiful yoga-like stretches yet this modality offers so much more. Thai bodywork is one of the 5 main branches of Traditional Thai Medicine and has a rich cultural history that is woven into every aspect of the practice.

In this 3-day introductory course, we will:

- Explore the body through the lens of Traditional Thai Medicine

- Learn effective body mechanics while using our hands, feet, knees, and elbows to apply pressure

- Delve into the layers of the body according to Thai anatomy & physiology

- Learn Thai bodywork techniques that create spaciousness and movement throughout the body

- Experience daily practices performed by Thai healing arts practitioners

- Discuss the history and traditions that make this healing art unique

Cost:

  • $400 before August 1st

:: About Maylani ::

Maylani has been studying bodywork and traditional medicine systems since 2010 and has over 3,000 hours of formal training. Since completion of a 2-year Massage Therapy Program in Oregon, she has been traveling to Thailand regularly to study under Traditional Medicine Doctor & Herbal Pharmacologist, Homprang Chaleekanha M.S.. In 2015 she completed an apprenticeship with Homprang and had the honor of being an assistant teacher at her school, Baan Hom Samunphrai, in Northern Thailand.

Following her apprenticeship, Maylani moved back to Oregon and began her study of Thai Medical Theory at the Naga Center in Portland, OR. In 2016, she completed the Foundations Program of Clinical Herbalism and Ayurveda at The Hawthorn Institute in Williams, OR as well as the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She has continued her study and practice of Thai Medicine and graduated from the Thai Specialist Program in July 2018. 

Maylani offers bodywork, private yoga & teaches workshops out of her studios in Grants Pass, OR & Williams, OR.

She considers the health of our community and environment to be inseparable from personal health. She believes that access to self-care and wellness practices should be available to all people and works to break down any barriers that stand between. She offers self-care classes and sliding-scale bodywork to those in need.

Partner Stretching & Thai Massage for Total Beginners

THAI MASSAGE & PARTNER STRETCHING FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS

Maylani is offering a special 2-hour Partner Stretching & Thai Massage for total beginners class on Saturday, September 16th from 10am-12pm.

In this 2-hour class you can learn simple, effective massage techniques that:

  • Don’t make your hands tired

  • Don’t require a table or massage oil

  • Can be done fully clothed 

  • Allow you to stretch your own body at the same time as your partner

Each person will each get a chance to practice a simple full body Thai Massage. 

Maylani will teach you how to use your own body weight to provide tons of relief for your partner with very little effort. We will cover easy techniques that allow professional Thai bodyworkers to do 3-hour massages regularly without burning out.

::Self Care Sundays at Beija Flor BB::

Self-Care Sundays is a casual environment to gain tools to better care for ourselves, our friends and our communities. The struggle out there is real and our bodies need constant care and appreciation if we hope to keep fighting the good fight long term. I will be sharing information and practices from my studies over the years in Traditional Medicine, Thai Massage, Yoga, Herbalism & Ayurveda.


For the month of December I will be teaching a Thai Massage with Friends series. Feel free to come to one class or join us for the whole series.

In this series we will learn simple, practical Thai bodywork techniques to soothe the everyday aches and pains of our hardworking friends. We will focus on common ailments from a variety of occupational and lifestyle habits. All are welcome. No prior experience necessary.

This class will be offered on comfortable mats on the floor and will be hands-on. We will be getting up and down from the floor, and some time will be spent kneeling on the ground. If you have any questions or concerns about this please contact me.
